With the intense winter rains came the beautiful spring gift of “super blooms” throughout Southern California.
I had the pleasure of exploring the Ray Miller Trail within Point Mugu State Park, on the edge of Malibu county just barely crossing into Ventura county.
Along our mile or so hike through the canyon, sprinkled with many pit stops photographing the various shades and varieties of flowers, we saw blooms in every color of the rainbow.
My personal favorite, the California Poppy, appeared to dance and sing along the coastal trails, serenaded by the ocean breeze. Here are some in their usual glowing orange as well as pink blooms, with pretty white Morning Glory blooms in the foreground.
With a bit of sleuthing I was able to identify a collection of additional flowers that I photographed.
Each photo will include the flower name(s) and associated flower essence meaning, courtesy of our late formulator, Fred Rubenfeld, of Pegasus Products – or otherwise linked to the source.
